Locale sweeps report fewer false untranslated strings

Localization sweeps now ignore screen-reader-only text, detect languages more accurately, and can ask an AI model to separate real missed translations from names, part numbers, and reviews.

A localization sweep is only useful if its findings are real. Sweeps used to flag text no visitor sees, mistake some Portuguese and Spanish sentences for English, and report names and part numbers as missed translations. This release fixes all three.

  • Only visible text is checked; screen-reader-only links no longer show up on every page
  • Language detection uses character patterns as well as word lists, and says "cannot tell" instead of guessing English
  • Wider language coverage, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Catalan
  • An optional AI review sorts each candidate as a missed translation, an intentional one (brand names, people, part numbers, reviews, legal text), or not base language, and shows its reason

AI review verdicts are cached by page content, so repeat sweeps cost nothing extra. Turn it off with aiReview: 'off'.
