Some localization bugs only exist on screen: text baked into images, banners rendered on a canvas, strings assembled at runtime. page.checkLocalization() now captures the viewport, reads its text with OCR, and reviews it for language, translation, and formatting problems. Each finding is tied to the exact region of the screenshot it came from.
Studio and the HTML report show the screenshot with selectable highlights, an explanation, and the suggested correction, instead of raw JSON.
- Available in the SDK, as an agent tool, and as an opt-in stored-page check
- Glossary and exclusion lists, explicit currency, and optional source copy
- Findings are fingerprinted by issue and text, so they stay stable when the layout moves
